Cinefex Magazine (TOTALLY ROCKS!!! :-)
This is a quarterly publication that covers all big (and some of the smaller) films that contain a lot of visual effects in them. The basically do a complete behind the scenes of the technical aspects of making each film, often starting with pre-production and working right through to end of post. Often you will see "Making Of" books of various blockbuster films in your local bookstore, more often than not they have been written by the senior writers of Cinefex (the Jurassic Park series is one such example chats been covered in book form). Cinefex magazine is a fantastic read if you are interested in the effects industry, as well as finding out how the big boys of the FX world do their effects, its also amazing to see how many of their tips and tricks will even work for your own lower end productions. Check it out.
